Once your Aadhar card is processed sucessfully or it shows the status as dispatched then that mean that your Aadhar card has been generated already and its on the way to reach us through post .but that may not reach in time . so after a long time  uidai provided to download the duplicate e-Aadhar card online which is equally valid as the  original one .it is just a photo copy of the original Aadhar card .

Now you can easily download the e-aadhaar card letter from the official website of UIDAI.All you have to do is just enter some of your details online.A print our of your e-aadhaar will be available within seconds.Following list will give you the mandatory details to download the aadhaar card.

  • Enrollment number & date,time.
  • Name of the resident.
  • Pin code of the area.

so the acknowledgement slip will contain all the details requied so only this slip is enough to download e-Aadhar card online .

first visit uidai residential portal

enter enrollment number and the date and time on the Aadhar card enrollment acknowledgement slip

enter the namee of resident and pin code and press enter

then one time password will be generated and send to your registered mobile (OTP) and it is valid for 15 mins only

then follow the instructions to download the e-Aadhar and download it

when downloaded the e-Aadhar card (duplicate Aadhar card )online you will download a password protected pdf file .. and the password for the pdf of e-Aadhar card will be the residents PINCODE .

and this downloaded Aadhar card is the duplicate e-Aadhar card which is equal in power with the original one .

Aadhar status check : different ways to check your aadhar status

According to UIDAI the entire process of Aadhar card generation  takes a 90 days time .so if still after 90 days if you didn’t got your aadhar then check for the aadhar status .

you can check your aadhar card status in two different ways :

1 . AaDHAR CARD STATUS : WANT TO CHECK AADHAAR STATUS ONLINE(UIDAI PORTAL) 
2 . AaDHAR CARD STATUS : CHECK AaDHAR CARD STATUS WITH MOBILE (by sending sms through phone)

after aadhar card is generated it will be the duty of indian post to pass the aadhar to individual .so once you see your aadhar is successfully made in your status then you can trace your aadhar card online through indian post site .

if Applicants Aadhar status falls under any of the following category then  will have to re-enroll for Aadhar again

Aadhar card status check via mobile :

To check your AADHAAR card status by phone, send an SMS as “UID STATUS <14 digit enrollment number>” (e.g. UID STATUS 12345678901234) to 51969. If your AADHAAR card is generated and the SMS is sent from the registered mobile phone number then you will receive the AADHAAR card number, otherwise only the current AADHAAR card status will be communicated.

There was a big issue regarding the aadhar card which were enrolled in the first phase i.e’ before April 01 2012 .

UIDAI has launched Aadhaar Self Service Update Portal to make things more convenient. Using this portal, you can now track update status (updated status after the change /update on aadhar is applied )

this need your  Aadhaar number (on which the changes is made earlier and got an URN for the same ) , URN. Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar Number in the field and the 14-digit Update Request Number(URN) in the fields to check the status of update requeST

To provide the facility of changing or updating the details of the people, UIDAI has launched Aadhaar Self Service Update Portal to make things more convenient. Using this portal, you can now modify your details like incorrect name, date of birth, gender or changed address online very easily. For this you need to first login using your Aadhara number and a OTP sent to your mobile. Later on, you can also check the update request status. To change your Aadhaar details follow these following simple steps:

in the opened new tab click on submit your changes /update to aadhar card

Then it asks you to provide your aadhar number 12 digit and human verification needed and then click on send OTP to mobile

then it will generate an one time password (OTP)

       OTP-valid for only 15 minutes) on your registered mobile number. If your mobile number is not registered then you will be asked to input your mobile number on which your OTP will be sent.

enter the OTP you received and the visible text in the respective fields and click on log in and make sure that you are making it as fast as possible as OTP will be valid for only 15 mins

airtel broadband users may face problem in receiving the OTP so it is advised th\o them to follow the ofline method .. to see ofline mode click here 

now check mark the name field which you want to update/change you want to made in Aadhaar and click on submit .

. Now enter the new values in the field(s) and click on ‘Submit Update Request’ button.. then you will asked to verify , .for update or change click on modify .and proceed

Now you will be directed to ‘Update Request Confirmation and Document Upload’ there you have to upload the documents scanned and they must be self attested  or else you can send them through post

 You will then see a ‘Update Request Complete’ page stating that ‘Your update request has been successfully submitted on date. Your Update Request Number(URN) is 0000/00111/0XXXX’. You will also receive a confirmation message on your mobile number along with your URN.

Your AADHAAR card change request information will be verified by UIDAI representative and upon successful validation, the changes will be reflected in your AADHAAR card and the same will be communicated to you.

UIDAI provides , Resident who are unable to locate the required Pincode/Village/Town/City/Post Office/District/State or is finding difficulty in local language transliteration in online appling process for change/upodate in aadhar card , they may send their Update request through Post.

Depending upon the AADHAAR card change request, a self attested supporting document will need to be sent, along with the completed update/correction form.

  • To change Name in AADAAR card a Proof of Identity document is required.
  • To change Address in AADAAR card a Proof of Address document is required.
  • To change Date of Birth in AADAAR card a Proof of Date of Birth document is required.

1. Clearly write your AADHAAR number on all document copies.

2 . Your name must be clearly written below the signatures/thumbprint when self attesting the documents.

 3. For children below five years, parent/guardian can fill and sign/provide thumbprint in the form and document copies.

you will be provided to use either English or your local language .but you have to send the envelop to the concerned language center

Put the completed Form along with the supporting documents in an envelope and on top of the envelope write “Aadhaar Update/Correction”. Send the envelope to one of the AADHAAR card update/correction address given below.

Your AADHAAR card change request information will be verified by UIDAI representative and upon successful validation, the changes will be reflected in your AADHAAR card and the same will be communicated to you.
